The Role:
Hotel Foxtrot is seeking energetic, adaptable, and community-minded individuals to join our team for the 2026/27 winter season in Hakuba.
As a General Lodge Hand, you’ll work across all areas of lodge operations, helping create memorable experiences for our guests while contributing to a positive team culture. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to people who enjoy working with others and take pride in their work.
Hotel Foxtrot was built by passionate snowboarders who believe great guest experiences start with great staff. Our team lives, works, and socialises together throughout the season, making this much more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to be part of an unforgettable winter experience in one of Japan’s most iconic mountain towns.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities vary from day to day and may include:
- Guest check-in and check-out
- Shuttle driving and guest transportation Housekeeping and room turnovers
- Breakfast preparation and service
- Bar service and après operations
- Simple food preparation and dinner service
- Snow clearing and general outdoor maintenance
- Maintaining lodge cleanliness and presentation
- Assisting guests with local recommendations and information
- Supporting daily lodge operations wherever required
What You’ll Need
- Eligibility to work in Japan (Working Holiday Visa, valid work visa, or appropriate residency status)
- Fluent English communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence (International Driving Permit preferred)
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to contribute across a variety of tasks
- Availability for the winter season (approximately December–March)
Previous hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential.
